I am a curmudegeon when it comes to digital technology.
Regarding film versus digital, I'd rather
fight than switch!
But I did get my wife a little Nikon CoolPix 2500 for
Christmas after I learned
that it was a USB mass storage device!! How cool is that?
You plug it in and you can mount it on a Linux computer
and it's a disk full of pictures!
And what's more, it
lets you take photos of yourself by spinning the lens around!!
Well, perhaps because the CoolPix is so obviously a toy, so
unassuming, so patently incapable of any photographic
pretentions,
I couldn't help but fooling around with it. Kind of like
a modern-day Holga.
So here's my portfolio based on my first (and probably only) week
of being a digital photographer.
Greta in the morning.
Me and Greta. Everyone with a Nikon Coolpix 2500 has a bunch
of photos like this.
Remember "lightbright, making thi-ings with li-i-ight?"
That's Ted hard at work creating.
Doesn't this look like a Norman Rockwell painting or
something?
Three Generations of Ronans
Cousins and their Christmas Loot
Mother and daughter.
I don't know how I got this effect,
but it's kind of neat.
Like looking through the bathroom window,
or severe reticulation.
